SRPP News l 14 November 2024
At SRPP, we are proud to demonstrate our commitment to client education by organizing an exclusive in-house training session for Dusit International on November 22, 2023. The seminar, titled “Unlocking the Possibilities: Your IPO Destination in Hong Kong," was held in collaboration with our esteemed partner firm in Hong Kong, Eversheds Sutherland, at the boardroom of the Dusit International.
Our distinguished panel of speakers included Mr. Dickson Ng (Partner and Head of Corporate Hong Kong), Mr. Stephen Mok (Senior Partner), and Ms. Yolanda Liu (Of Counsel) from Eversheds Sutherland’s Hong Kong corporate practice.
We designed this session to provide participants with valuable insights into initial public offerings (IPOs) in Hong Kong. We began with an introduction to Eversheds Sutherland, followed by an overview of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Our speakers emphasized the benefits of going public and the main advantages of listing in Hong Kong.
We also highlighted the significant differences between the Main Board and the GEM (Growth Enterprise Market) of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, as well as the various types of listings available, including primary and secondary listings. Additionally, we addressed the necessary qualifications for companies seeking to register and introduced specific listing regimes for biotech companies, SPACs, and specialist technology firms. We provided a timetable for IPOs in Hong Kong, enabling participants to plan and prepare effectively.
Overall, this training presented an excellent opportunity to enhance knowledge and ensure readiness for navigating the IPO process in Hong Kong efficiently.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dusit International for their trust and to Eversheds Sutherland for their collaboration in this knowledge-sharing initiative.
