SRPP demonstrated our commitment to client education by hosting an exclusive, complimentary training session on October 18, 2024. The seminar, titled Mastering Competition Law: A Deep Dive into Thailand’s Merger Control, was held at the prestigious Emporium Suites by Chatrium Hotel, showcasing SRPP's dedication to providing top-tier learning experiences for our clients and team members.
The speaker for the session, Ms. Aramsri Rupan, is a recognized expert in trade competition with extensive experience throughout her career. Her expertise spans several roles related to trade competition, with her most notable position being the former Commissioner of the Trade Competition Commission of Thailand (TCCT).
The training session was designed to equip the participants with a proper understanding of merger control in Thailand, as it includes various topics such as the basis of merger control, penalties for violation of Trade Competition Act B.E. 2560, and notification of a business merger.
The training session that was supposed to be complex was surprisingly presented in an intelligible fashion thanks to Ms. Aramsri Rupan’s wealth of knowledge and experience.
In summary, the session provided fruitful knowledge on certain topics revolved around merger control in Thailand, resulting in a better understanding of such complex topics. After the session, the participants can implement what they learned to maximize the competitive edge of the companies.
